Oftentimes I hear parents referring to their child’s IQ, sometimes even bragging. As good as it is to have a smart kid, there is an intelligence that is far more important, and that is Emotional IQ. Emotions drive behavior and behavior reflects character.
Of all the good qualities, kindness may well be the most practical one. Ephesians 4:32 says: “Be kind to one another…” As parents, we need to model kindness and teach kindness. God’s Word is our source.
